All, I wonder what to think about OBES and remote viewing. Usually I fly off to places I know for about 50 years or so, but when I went to the far side of the moon I was not too interested - so what is and can an OBE that could also be also remote viewing? AS for lucid dreaming - only done this for a few years, what connects them all including anything else? So what are the connections here? If any. Sometimes I think "oh you are playing trivial pursuit again"... Stu
Well, I have very limited knowledge about the subjects in their entirety, but I could still share my understanding of each of them.
Remote viewing- In a deep meditative state one might enter into a brief "daydream". This state would include a limited surrounding and sometimes a short string of events or a "picture". The space is extremely vivid, in that every detail is discernable, yet there would not be a full surrounding or the awareness of your own self. One watches through a looking glass upon a TV screen.
Lucid Dreaming- This can vary in degree, in my experience. In some of the more "distant" dreams, the details of a surrounding can unfold and there is an entire "environment". You are in this place, a part of, and at times a director of events. There can be a sense of self in that you are taking a first person view to the events. Yet one is bound within a confine of the space that one shares. But, there have been recollections of past lives where all of the above was included, except there was a hyper real sense of the body. Likewise there have been dreams where desires or repressed emotions have been brought to light with a hyper-real sense of the body. I would say what fully separates this from the OOBE is the level of awareness one has of the body and will.
OOBE- I have found this to be more of a willful event. Every last stinking detail is felt in every part of yourself. There is a cool breeze to your body. You can fly through a cloud and feel the raindrops upon your "skin". You are free in this space and nothing can confine you. You have become the master of self and can do anything you desire. Yet I believe this is also where lucid dreaming comes in. You begin to lucid dream if you are aware in this space, yet not in control of your desire. If "control" is a good word for this, idk.
Hope this helps =)
