Feeling Vibrations/Electricity in Body Prior(?) To Lucid Dream

Hello, last night while sleeping in bed, I had 3 lucid dreams. Or were they OOBE's? I'm honestly not sure. Probably Lucid dreams.

In each one of them, there was an event which preceded it (I think this is the chronological order, but I'm actually quite fuzzy on everything); it felt like my entire body was vibrating/electrical currents were running through my body. It was like there was electricity flowing through my entire body, shocking me, and I could control the intensity. I felt it shocking my entire body, and almost paralyzing it, and I heard it ringing in my head. I would say it was even a bit unpleasant and scary at times.

My question is: Are these shocking sensations/vibrations what one would feel when they are in the the 3rd jhana, aka, the bodily charism? Or is this something completely different?

I would be surprised if they were the same thing.

I find OOBEs and lucid dreams are the same.  The only difference is one who lucid dreams may not experience the lifting out of body of an OOBE.

Yes, from the 3rd jhana on one will experience increasing intensity of charisms (jhana-nimitta), as you described above, "shocking sensations, vibrations," and various sounds, such as: ringing, buzzing, thunder, roaring, etc.  Good work, keep it up.
