Hello,

Here is another related question. Is awareness in arupa jhanas the same awareness that remains in nibbanic state? I do not mean that the experience is same. I am only refering to awareness itself.

In my experience the deeper I go into the 8 stages of samadhi the more aware I become.
There is no progress without discipline.

That makes sense. Interestingly, many buddhists deny existance of any kind of awareness in nibbana which sounds ridiculous.

I agree, since the three vehicles of Buddhism reject jhana, which is the definition of the 8th fold, and they promote putting on a costume and pretending t be holy, then we should not be surprised when we find their position is simply absurd.
