Guayusa is also called the 'night watchman' by some South American natives because it is said to induce lucid dreaming. It contains caffeine and is a very energizing drink if brewed for 4-7 mins. Guayusa tea can be ordered on the internet. I bought some at my local tea store.
I make a weak brew, pouring 1 cup of boiling water over 1 1/2 tsp. of guayusa for 1 1/2 minutes. Then I remove the guayusa. I like to sweeten the tea with a few drops of stevia or you could use a another sweetener. I drink it 1-3 hours before bedtime. Some make a strong brew for the morning after, infusing it for up to 10 minutes. The strong brew is said to aid in dream recall, but for me it wasn't necessary.
My dreams have certainly been more interesting and colorful when drinking the tea, but I cannot say that its helped me lucid dream, yet. And because this tea has caffeine, my sleep is less restful. And honestly, my dreams stay weirder than they should be a few days afterwards. So interesting to try once in a while, but not all the time for me...
