As most of you know, I have been starved for kundalini blasts. Jhananda tried to show me many times why. I feel very strongly that, having lucidly established kundalini today, what my personal issue was--as conflicted that sentence seems to me, now.
Desires. There can be charisms, and OOBE's, but there is no Divinity, there is no God, no kundalini, no fuel, no inspiration, no insight, if all desires haven't been evacuated. I have confirmed this in St. John's writings, reflection on past experience, and just now. Unfortunately, it is a subtle game of cat and mouse to know how to identify and evacuate desires. This is why, I think, Jhananda told me to "live the lifestyle" or the similar phrases he often repeats. Also, it makes more sense to me, intellectually, to say this specifically about desires.
I am mentioning this because it has been a significant pain point for me. The main issue in my life is self-indulgence of things like food or drugs. It simply cannot be there. One must direct their heart and mind to the Divine. Otherwise there will be no fullness to the experience, and therefor, personally, no point other than to move closer to God, Kundalini, or whatever your fancied term.
I wish to say that desires can be evacuated relatively quickly. I mean a few hours. But, if one is dulled by them, they will have to put work into detecting desires, and also the initially subtle kundalini force. It is ideal to just live the lifestyle. If you are having trouble with this, if you have established absorption but don't get the "main ingredient" (kundalini), then it is suggested for one to take a sabbatical. Spend an entire day just on the path. This doesn't necessarily mean only meditating. It can be conversation (real time), but it has to be directed toward that "special something" that we all Love so dearly.
Desires are a slippery slope. If you indulge one thought of eating ice cream, you will be at a severe disadvantage. So, one should be aware that it really is "all or nothing" I'm afraid.
If this does not sound accurate, you may remove or relocate this. But I personally cannot see how it isn't.
