Shiva statue in Ganges flood

This happened 6 months ago, but it is quite a sight.

As you may know, in Hindu mythology, Shiva was the deity who brought the Ganges to the Earth. So, it is ironic that the flood would affect him.

The statue was not washed away by the flood, nor was the head ever submerged.

All the while the god "oblivious to the world" sits rapt in samadhi.
