It is excellent, Jhanon, that you are interested in becoming a certified GWV meditation teacher. You are well on your way to becoming certified. What we hope for in our meditation teachers:
] Someone who meditates every day.
] Someone who is familiar with the dhamma, having read through the suttas, and more importantly knows the key suttas well enough to speak extemporaneously about them.
] Someone who has consistent access to the various stages of the religious experience (samadhi); and preferably stage 2 every day.
] Someone who is familiar with the GWV website, and in particular the section on the Fruit of the Contemplative Life.
] Someone who is skilled at interpreting a person's meditation/religious experiences within the context of the Fruit of the Contemplative Life.
] Someone who attends at least one 10-day GWV meditation retreat.
] Someone who leads a local meditation group that meets at least once a week.
] Someone who leads a rigorous, sober, self-aware contemplative life.
There might be other things that I missed, so please help me out.
