Mystic Artists
« on: September 14, 2014, 10:46:00 PM »
We've all found an artist who has convinced us they are a mystic, in some capacity. I came across Caspar David Friedrich during my school today.

Let this be a place for anyone who wants to share other mystic artists.

Thank-you, Michel, William Blake was a big inspiration for me as a mystic and an artist.  Kandinsky was also a big inspiration for me as an artist and an anthropologist. I believe his earliest book was an ethnography of shamanism among the Fenugreek.  I cannot seem to find it on Google now, but it refers to the "World Watchers" among the Fenugreek, who were essentially shaman with the OOBE mastered.  I wrote at least one paper on it when I was a fine art/Anthro major.  Perhaps I will one day find that paper.
