The Assassination of Jesse James
« on: November 14, 2014, 12:32:53 AM »
There's a lot of mention of soundtracks here so I'll add this really good one for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. Songs like this I can listen to endlessly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9E4J7EoUPS0. The movie, while not really pertaining to the spiritual life, is a great portrait of envy, as can be seen by the linked video, and is one of my favorite movies. I love sharing this music. I have ancestors that were a group of young brothers in Clay County, Kansas (I think that's right, it's been a while since I was into genealogy) while Jesse James was active, and I always wondered what exactly they thought of him.

Full soundtrack is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJfXlNRPn5c

Yeah, it has a good soundtrack. Never saw the film, but I have posted one or two songs from this soundtrack in the Contemplative Music thread.
