Im not sure...
« on: November 17, 2014, 11:01:34 AM »
It feels as if something is wrong with someone...I just heard a very loud screeching, something I've never heard before. I recall Jhananada talking about something like this. I hope everything is okay with everyone.

Hello, Cal, it is true that fellow mystics can become so enmeshed psychically that they can intuit what is going on with each other.  As you may recall, this summer I had to abandon my warehouse space for about a month due to extreme levels of harassment from 3 neighbors, one of whom had been evicted months earlier and the others were evicted in early September.

Starting in early September I was investigated by local code enforcement and the fire martial for possible "violations."  That "investigation" is on-going.

It makes no sense to me why 3 career criminals would invest so much time in harassing me, unless I am willing to consider that there is someone with a vested interest behind all of the harassment.

It just so happens that there is a fundamentalist Christian who owns several properties surrounding the property where I am renting.  In fact my yard adjoins a large steel warehouse building that has no street access except right through my yard, and it has a large roll-up door that leads into my yard.  It would mean that if that property owner could purchase the property that I rent, then his steel warehouse building would become a lot more valuable.  It just so happens that he is one of several people who filed fraudulent reports with the city claiming I am in violation of city codes.

Thus, I am under a lot more stress than I prefer to be under.  This has resulted in a few temper tantrums.

Yesterday I was moving the broiler pan from the broiler to the wood stove, because the turkey was not fully cooked, and I had run out of sunlight to cook it with from my fully off-grid research lab (what a PIA).  The edge of the broiler pan, which I had to hold to move it, was sharp, and it cut one of my fingers so badly that it took 10 compression bandages to stop the bleeding.  So, I did some screaming.  So, perhaps you heard me psychically.

I'm more of a silent sobbing kind of individual, which I admit I experienced last night around 2:45am when I realized something about this life that has caused me significant hardship, but I never gave it conscious attention until then. But, no screeching that I'm aware of. Jhananda's story seems most likely, but it looks to be off by a day.

Self-reflection is the skill of the contemplative who becomes a mystic.  A mystic finds the only true refuge is the superior fruit (maha-phala) of the attainments of the mystic.
