Hello everyone, this is a quick type as I'm about to leave for work.

So I don't have full blown OBEs as of yet. Instead I have these strange half in and half out experiences. I'd like to explain what I've just woken up from for some advice. So at first I was in a dream, an old friend from back home was round my current house playing computer games. I said I needed a nap and went to bed in the dream. Next, my vision filtered through to reality and I could see through my eyelids. I was looking at a cup on my bed side table. At one point I remember my 'spirit legs' being removed from my body and spilling out on the floor next to my bed, standing up and trying to heave my upper spirit body out of my physical. But it literally was impossible. All the while I am still looking out of my physical eyes at the cup in front of me. It was as if only my lower body was in OBE. Next, my whole body was out, but my vision was still in my physical body. If you can imagine I was walking around moving my arms but I am still looking at the cup at a horizontal level. Whilst in this state, I thought 'OK this is it I'm gunna fly'. I let go and instead I fell. Whilst falling down into empty space I felt euphoria and bliss. Suddenly I was in my physical body, paralysed fully awake looking at the cup. I began to go back into the dream state and I thought 'Oh wheres my friend'. Then I felt footsteps walking up and down my bed. Like really, fully real, fully awake 'there is someone walking on my bed'. Then I wanted to get up and get my friend but I could not move, I panicked thinking I would be stuck in this half OBE state wandering around blindly forever whilst staring at a physical cup in front of me. Suddenly a leather wrist band I wear on my wrist was around my throat, I was choking, scared and desperately trying to wake up. I came out of it like when people wake form bad dreams in the movies. 'wtf'.... was all that I came to mind...

Is this indicative of someone getting to grips with the OBE. I have not heard of anything like this.

Cheers.

Benj.

Hey if u have anytime read my experiences, or anything i mentioned abt my oobes they were almost similar, where my lower body is out.. Thats all sometime i go into lucid dream from there, and yes i have felt that ecstasy in my whole body like kundalini is bursting in each and every cell. During waking state i only feel this in my heart area.. And abt oobe they dont happen if i dont try.. And after 2 month of continuous similar oobes lol my schedule changed and also i changed the way i meditate so they rnt happening now. I dont think progress in oobe really defines that u r progressing spiritually. However if u wanna know more how i was doing it i can elaborate it, my own findings.

Thanks Naman

Yes if you could elaborate a little more on what you feel was going with the half OOBE. Also another big issue for me is leaving my body but my vision is still stuck in my physical body. Any thoughts on this?

OK, so I asked my spirit guide why my vision was stuck in physical body during the OBE. The reply I got was 'sunglasses'.....

After some thought about this, I realised that the curtains in my room let a lot of light in and as I experience OBE when i nap during the day, the room is awash with natural light. It may well be that as I become lucid during sleep, the light in the room is causing my optic nerves to engage while the rest of me is paralysed. This may aslo explain the half in half out OBE, as I am still aware of the upper part of my body because my eyes are still engaged and I can also see my arms.

This is just an interesting theory mind.... Thinking out loud.

This is all normal development of the OOBE.  Keep up the good work.

Thats interesting..all this while i was attempting this with room light on and its on like whole night,, because for me when i was trying oobe only thing i cud feel is legs and hands out with the third eye vision, so i always wanted lights on so as to differentiate if i was seeing thru my astral or physical eyes.

I wanted to tell that i was having oobe if i doze off to sleep while meditating, lying down.. And there had to a balance between how much sleepy im feeling and amount of meditation i did. If sleep was more ill not wake upto sleep paralysis and if meditation was more i will not go into sleep atall. But as far as total separation is concerned well even i wasnt able to figure out what's causing half separation. But i have had full separations some 1 year back even with lights on. So i assumed that all i needed was more practice.

My ability to go into sleep paralysis also is effected by my point of focus in meditation, which i used to switch between third eye, breath or.bliss in.my.body,

It sounds like you just need more practice.
