: Merry Christmas
: Jhanananda December 25, 2013, 02:45:54 PM
Merry Christmas to all.  For me Christmas is the celebration of a past mystic who was martyred, as so many are.  Spending a day celebrating the life of a mystic, in the form of beginning and ending the day with meditation, and being mindfully self-aware, being kind a generous to others; and, most importantly, discussing what it is to be a mystic, which is having religious experience, is the way to celebrate the life of a mystic.  I will do that, and forage for wood, to keep warm, and work on the book.

Thanks-you Michael, Stu and Sam, for filling in for me.

So, please friends, do report and discuss your religious experience.  If nothing else, I find it comforting to read reports of the religious experience.  It helps me to feel comforted that others are doing what is necessary to pursue the only thing of real value in life.

Merry Chrtismas to you too Jhanananda, and to all else here as well :)

I have been too bogged down with schoolwork lately to post. But I wanted to say that it is a gift to have found all of you mystics here. Thank you all for the support and kindness (even those of you I am yet to speak with! :P).

Best of luck on finding warmth Jhanananda, and look out for that big kitty!

Christmas has taken on a new meaning for me. Thanks to this forum I can now appreciate the teachings of Jesus, the mystic. Last Christmas I could not look past on anything other than the Buddha. I will spend the day reflecting on Jesus, and what a precious gift his teachings are to the world.

May all beings be peaceful, calm and without worry. Again, Merry Christmas to all.
