Thank-you, Stu, for posting this interesting link.  What doctors call “depersonalization” is what mystics call a "non-dual experience."  So, since most doctors never meditate, and even if they did most of them never have a meditation experience, therefore they are always going to misinterpret the religious experience.

Jeffrey,  Many years ago I had experiences close to what is described as depersonalization - these experiences were stimulating sometimes others not fear but troubling -  since I mainly operate from equinimity I am beyond duality - nice place to be - I observe I am in whatever I am in and sometimes I look back or sidewards but usually I am just doing it...  Veranasi, India   Stu   It is nice to see I escaped the flu epidemic in usa.

Good to hear from you Stu.  Many people find equanimity a non-dual (depersonalized) experience.  What flu epidemic in the usa?  I guess I must of escaped it as well.
