Hi everyone,

A friend of mine has introduced me to something called ormus.  The best I can figure, sea salt is processed in such a way that the salt is removed and the trace minerals are left.  This, taken as a supplement has healing properties.  Not only that, it can have mind altering effects.  Some people say it can heighten their spiritual nature.  I often see that malnutrition is blamed for our ill health and think this might be helpful for us.  Anyone out there have experience with ormus?

Yes. Hard to evaluate. Most of it is a scam. Oryginal idea of Ormus need 0,00000000X precision which is very hard to reach. Tools and measurement deviced gonna cost 100 000$.

There is guy in Canada that is gathering minerals by himself in rock-form. He says his not that expensive pH meter is somewhere on the edge where real ormus proportions starts.

Personally I tried some expensive, but still low quality ormus and I think it is toxic, because of the salts it is containing.

Thanks Janek for your input.  It does appear to be, on some level, snake oil but I think I'll try some anyway.  After watching 10 or 20 you tube videos, I think I finally understand the spiel.  Trace minerals can exist in mono-atomic states, meaning one atom.  These states are anomalous, and behave weirdly.  They can be superconductors.  When absorbed in the body, these superconductors allow energy to flow more efficiently between the mind and body.  This heightened sensitivity manifests psychic powers and perceived spirituality.  How mixing sodium hydroxide with sea salt creates ormus, I don't know?  Seems a little too easy.  Apparently it can work on our DNA to promote physical healing.  Thats what I'm interested in.  I do think we are deficient in trace minerals, so as I've said before, I think I'll try it.

What You said is true, rare monoatomic substances work more or less as you said, but Ormus as a mixture must have 1) right proportions which is hard to get, 2) right pH which is very very hard to be proper. Of course it have to contain also those 3) monoatoms of various elements and usually ormus is a scam, because it meets points 1-2 only.

Why can ormus be toxic? These atoms are highly reactive before reaching proper de-electronised state so points 1-2 should be there to preserve right condensation and correct form of this slime-suspension as well as protecting from binding into toxic salts. The point is to create safe colloid without toxic things with right number of single atoms that reach state of non-reactivity.

As You mentioned it, how to obtain those mono-atoms? This I am not sure and I doubt in most of the ideas

Thanks, Janek, for your critical thinking.  I agree, "usually ormus is a scam."

I remember one more thing: try it with one of those strong neodymium magnets. If nothing happens there is nothing worth buying, if ya see some movements be sure these are not things that would always react with magnet.

I can look further into this, but like Jeffrey, I smell a scam.

The main question I ask when I read claims like this is HOW? What's the mechanism?

Above are many claims that sound suspect. How does ingesting a super-conductor change one's experience?

How does it modify DNA?

How does said modification "promote healing"?

What does "promote healing" even mean?
