Hello all,

As I've been recovering from the toxic chemical exposure, I've slowly been returning to my goal of developing my sketching / painting skills. I've also bought a drawing tablet for the computer. No guarantees, as it will take a long time to learn - but I've been trying to get to proficiency at it. If you would like to send me any photos I can use as references, at some point in the future (possibly years from now), I may create art of you as American yogis and Buddhas.

Thanks.

It sounds like an interesting idea.
There is no progress without discipline.

If you want to post to this forum, then send me a PM.

I am calling again if anyone would like to share photos. You can post them here or submit them to me via PM. It would be submitting your image to be made into a potential icon or portrait. It could be you in nature, meditating, praying, doing yoga, etc.

Here are a couple of in progress projects to give you an idea of my skill level after 2 years (Teddy Roosevelt).

Long term I am interested in making art similar to how William Blake created a collection over the years.

If you do submit a reference you should try to submit higher resolution images (the more detail the better) and with clear lighting (one light source from a specific angle is best). It is much harder to paint an image from low resolution or with unspecific lighting. It can be done, but it just won't be as high quality.
