There are diverse opinions about the health benefits of roasted vs raw nuts. I've read 8 articles on the subject, and this article presents most of the arguments of for and against:

Interesting about the Buddhist cure of garlic.
The Chan/Zen or Mahayana Buddhism of China does not eat garlic or onion. It's consider "meat". I can never understand that. They don't event eat spring onions or leeks. They are vegetables after all.

How does one get hold of 75 percent alcohol?? Unless one distill it personally. The curative effect of garlic is so universally so well known and fermenting in alcohol will enhance the effects many folds. Alcohol helps improves circulation as well but it's also toxic for the liver. I suppose the amount stated in the charts are not harmful. Would love to try that recipe if I can get hold of alcohol.

I would rather take raw nuts over roasted nuts any day. Nuts contains poly-unsaturated fats, except for coconuts. Therefore heating it to a high temperature would make the oil toxic for our body. Just my opinion

In traditional Indian medicine (ayurveda) garlic is considered to be rajasic, so it tends to be shunned by those seeking a spiritual, or contemplative life; however, garlic, as we have seen here has a number of medical benefits.

It is not likely that an ancient would have been able to distill alcohol to a greater purity than 75%, because getting alcohol to greater purity requires special processes, such as vacuum distillation, and the use of a molecular sieve.  Here in the USA we can get something called "Ever Clear" at some liquor stores.  Perhaps there is something like that where you live.

Great video on iodine. I did not realize how important it is to one's health.

The iodine/iodide supplement "Iodorol" is available from Amazon.com.

Dr. David Brownstein's website: https://www.drbrownstein.com/

Do you use supplements?

I am using Vitamin B complex , Vitamin C complex, Omega 3 and magnesium supplements which I started last month. I have also been eating aloe vera. It helps quite a bit. Thought  of trying to get Nascent Iodine which is more bio-available to our body to test it out. Cheers

After being on the a high fat low carb diet and drinking distill water, I tested myself with a whole bowl of rice noodles last night. After an hour I tested my blood sugar and it was at 163. This morning I tested myself again and it was 104 which was quite normal. It seems that this diet have improve my insulin sensitivity.

Note : Distill water = Urine Therapy.

I have a run of the mill modern medicine family doctor. What type of family doctor do you have?

I go to a polyclinic which is a government run clinic. They have at least 20 doctors there and each time I go, there is always a different doctor. They are new and young doctors from all over the world. Their experience is very limited. I don't really trust doctors. Therefore I would rather treat myself than seeing them. Cheers

I go to the county clinic, and they send me to the lab from time to time to check my blood sugar level.  But, I am like Sam, I don't trust mainstream medicine, and prefer to treat myself.
