Spiritual journey hijacked by the Spiritual Crisis
« on: March 25, 2014, 08:05:29 PM »
The Spiritual journey (contemplative life) can all too easily be hijacked by the Spiritual Crisis if we are not fully dedicated in our contemplative life, and our self-awareness campaign.  The Spiritual Crisis tends to trigger basic survival psychology of fight or flight, subsistence, and reproduction urges.  So, if we are not particularly vigilant about our self-awareness campaign and dedicated to the contemplative life, then we may look back one day and find our Spiritual journey was hijacked by the Spiritual Crisis.

How can we get through deep spiritual crisis? Especially if we are alone in this for the most part like I feel I am.

Since it is clear that very few people meditate deeply, then one cannot depend upon a community of fellow contemplatives.  So, for guidance I read the mystics, meditated, maintain deep self-awareness and practiced meditation to depth every day, several times a day.  This forum, I hope, helps.
