Apparently earth quakes are quite rare here; however, there is a very large volcano nearby, which has been dormant for only about 1,000 years, and Sedon is nestled up against a 4,000 foot uplift that is called the mugallon rim.  So, there is significant geology here, which would suggest more geological activity than there is.
