GWV summer retreat 2016
« on: January 04, 2016, 07:27:39 PM »
Since the GWV winter retreat 2015 has come to an end, and those attending all expressed an interest in attending one this summer, then I thought we could start planning it now.

I propose that we join in retreat in the mountains of central AZ at an elevation of about 7-8,000ft (2100-2500m).

Please express your interest in attending if you are.

Hi Jeffrey and Stu, I have the week off of July 4-8. I am also off the week of April 18-22, if either week wouldn't inconvenience anyone. I was very disappointed I had to miss the winter retreat!

I'm interested and hopefully can make it again. It's hard to say but tentatively, out of the dates Alexander posted, July 4-8 sounds good.

Good to know there is some interest, and people are letting us know early when they are available for retreat.  Since we have at least 2 voting for July 4-8, then let us focus on that date, and see where it goes.

I do hope that you can make a future retreat, Cal, because I would like very much to meet you in person, and meditate with you.  I found that attending annual meditation retreats were necessary for maintaining my level of attainment (phala).  However, I found that making the effort to attend annual meditation retreats required disciplining my lifestyle to accommodate attending those retreats.  Perhaps, you and others will find the same thing.

That's so true, and I'm looking forward to meeting you, and meditating with you, as well. I've got some money set aside right now, so as long as nothing drastic happens until the time of the retreat, I will attend. I very much wanted to attend the last one, as well.

I look froward to you attending the next GWV retreat, Cal, and others who wish to join us.

Hi Stu, Alexander proposed the week off of July 4-8, or the week of April 18-22.  How does everyone who is interested in attending a GWV retreat this summer feel about these dates?

Since this retreat is less than a month away, then people who are planning on attending should formalize their plans, and let us know if they are planning on attending.

I am still working on my van.  I have had it running for about a week, and it seems to be improving, so I might be able to rely upon it for this upcoming retreat.  I do plan to start work on my 1969 surplus military truck to see if I can rely upon it as a backup vehicle for this retreat.
