Thanks for that last link, Sam. It reminds me I should make some bone broth. Soup is usually what I tend to make when I cook for myself because you can make several days worth of food at a time. I've had good luck making pho broth before, but usually I'm too cheap with money to buy the ingredients to make something like that. It's kind of frustrating because good quality meat (and bones, etc) is expensive in the US, and I have a hard time making myself cook with cheap factory-farmed meat. But it's worth the expense, health-wise, to get some local meat from animals that hopefully at least had a decent quality of life, so thanks for the bone broth idea.

The Myth about Blood Sugars and Diabetes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7fHYSyvxU0

I found this interesting, thank you for posting it Sam. Seems like Kale could play a big part in healthier liver function, according to the video. I think back to the previous conversation on altitude and diabetes, or even the effects of Radon. If its like this doctor says, and the liver and pancreas go hand in hand in regulating blood sugar, then what effects would altitude or Radon have on the liver. It's been a long time, but if I remember correctly, certain kinds of radiation effect us on the atomic level. They disrupt compounds by essentially knocking them loose of one another, or even preventing them from bonding. So if processed/stored sugars are stored in muscles and the liver, and potassium is the binding element for glucose, I suppose I could understand Radon being a very real culprit. I understood the 200,000 receptors/per cell as basically the storage area in the liver for "standby" sugar.

I do not recall though if it was gamma or beta radiation that produces this sort of effect.

The Myth about Blood Sugars and Diabetes

Thank-you, Sam, for posting the interesting video link.  I did find some problems with the lecture, which I found otherwise quite good.

I think back to the previous conversation on altitude and diabetes, or even the effects of Radon. This is actually a very good question.  It is a fact that there is naturally occurring radiation all around all of us on planet earth, so apparently the body can handle a certain amount.  So, the problem is when radiation levels rise higher than normal.  It is also possible that altitude may play a role in health.  So, both subjects will have to be investigated.
There is no progress without discipline.
